We have been brainstorming and finetuning a prestige system for FOC. It is completely voluntary, if you want to keep going as you are then that is absolutely fine. However, if you feel like you need a fresh start, then providing you meet the eligibility requirements you can exchange your wealth and assets for shiny prestige points and start over for a new challenge. Prestige points will be recorded on a leaderboard in the prestige-leaderboard channel on discord. These points are only for bragging rights and hold no economic value. If you do prestige, you will gain access to decorative assets such as flags so you can showcase your past glories on your farm. You will also qualify for a custom discord role (Large Tractors are sharing their ideas for role names as we speak).
The prestige system brings many benefits, both for the individual and FOC/servers. Individuals can break free from the hundreds of acres grind and experience the early game excitement again. It will also remove wealth from the economy and return land to NPC which will hopefully improve the long-term sustainability of the FOC economy. Prestige Rules #
Prior to Prestige Request
– Open a ticket and declare you wish to prestige. We will start the 12 day countdown.
– No land, equipment or crops are permitted to be sold to other players during the 12 day countdown phase.
– If a recent offload of a large amount of land is discovered prior to this countdown we hold the right to delay the prestige process. Not only are we trying to remove money from the economy but also land, some servers are completely bought out and this process helps create new opportunities.
– Land and equipment will be sent to NPC and will not be available for purchase by the community.
– Combined asset and cash value must exceed the minimum amount listed in the Prestige Points section below to be considered eligible for prestige (use /loan equity command to verify).
– all loans must be repaid and personal arrangements with other players settled. Logging permits will not carry over.
– Open a ticket @FOC Modmail to start the process. Staff will verify recent transactions/eligibility etc. There will be penalties for attempts to break the rules, so don’t risk it!
Prestige Points #
– Each $100k from your combined cash and assets balance will earn 1 prestige point.
– You must reach the minimum combined balance for each tier: $5m for 1st prestige; $6m for 2nd prestige; $7m for 3rd prestige; $8m for 4th prestige; and $10m for 5th or more.
– Balances will be rounded down to nearest $100k to calculate points, therefore, $6.75m would be rounded to $6.7m.
– Each subsequent prestige after the first will receive a points conversion multiplier:
– 1st prestige $5m+ = points x 1.0
– 2nd prestige $6m+ = points x 1.2
– 3rd prestige $10m+ = points x 2.0
– 4th prestige $15m+ = points x 3.0
– 5th or more prestige $20m+ = points x 4.0
– As an example, someone prestiging for a second time must have a combined assets and cash balance exceeding $6m. If their balance totaled $6.08m, it would be rounded down to $6.0m which equates to 60 points. With the multiplier, 60 * 1.2 = 72 points. These points would be added to existing points from previous prestige requests.
– High scores will be posted in a new Discord channel in Announcements.
Restart after Prestige #
-After prestige, you will be able to move to any map (with space) to become an FM again. There is no time limit on this so you may take a break if you wish and pick a parcel when you return.
– Your checking accounts will be reset to zero.
– You can choose your free starter parcel(s) under the confines of the standard land pick rules which can be found on the wiki.
– Once you have your land, $1.5m will be added to your checking account and you are free to carry on with your farming journey.
– We will be monitoring transactions to ensure that you aren’t attempting to cheat by purchasing previously sold equipment, crops, land, etc. This is supposed to be a fresh start, please treat it as such!
– In-game decorative assets will become available (WIP) once you prestige. Initially this will be a flag with plans to expand the range in the future.
– Those who prestige will also receive an exclusive discord role to symbolize their achievement.
