Player Contracts #
FOC offers farm managers the ability to post contracts that any contractor or FM can claim and work.
To claim a contract go to #player-contracts on discord and claim a contract available.
When you have claimed a contract you need to start right away.
If you have questions about your contract you should DM your employer to ask for help.
When your contract is complete you should mark it as such in #player-contracts. You will not automatically be paid for your contract. Your payment will be made by your employer. Please keep in mind that your employer has a life outside of FOC (crazy right?) and may take some time to issue payment. Please try to give them a reasonable amount of time to get you your payment. If you have not been paid in at least 24 hours you can open a ticket for Staff intervention.
Community Servers #
Coming Soon to FOC!
What is a Community Server?
It is the “next generation” of contract servers. Except, it can be any map and you decide where you want to work and how. Think of it as a similar concept to those “Silage Servers” people throw up, but you make money that you can spend on the main servers by playing there! If you aren’t familiar with “Silage Servers”, just think of it as a server dedicated to a specific production/operation with all the land, money, equipment, infrastructure you’d ever need . We’d also like to see other types of cooperative work aside from just “Silage”, but that is the classic example of this concept.
There is still a lot to iron out, but we want to start gathering feedback. Mainly on the “types” of community servers we offer as well as which map(s) we use. Keep an eye out for those polls below and check back on them often. We will be leaving the options open on them for you to add suggestions to vote on and just throw in a few starters to get your creative juices flowing. Please note that due to the nature of these servers, 1x and 16x maps will not be considered at this time.
Some additional notes about community servers to help with understanding how they will work:
– We will start with one server as a prototype and gauge interest, activity, and fit for our community. We will decide from there if and how the program proceeds from those results.
– There will be a set wage per hour that may fluctuate over time or potentially be hybrid depending on external factors (like availability of player contracts). This wage will be posted and readily available for you to view before “starting the clock”.
– You will only be able to work a certain number of hours each day on the server (although, you can continue to play there after that limit is reached without pay).
– Abuse or misuse of the Community Servers can lead to temporary or permanent bans from playing on them and/or removal of wages earned from them. While there will be technical aids to keep things in line, the success or failure of this new concept will depend greatly on the players that play on it. If players are not contributing to the theme of the server, working against it, or not participating while “on the clock”; you will no longer be permitted to play on these servers.
